Mobile Commerce, The Next Frontier

ShopVisible recently rolled out this great new SMS commerce feature. I
briefly mentioned this in my last blog post. Well, I think it's about
time that I explained how that works a little better…
The basics are simple: in the same manner you might send out email
messages to your customers based on their buying habits, you can now
send out text messages to inform them about product specials. But we
have decided to take that one step further. Instead of forcing
customers to travel to a PC to browse the web and purchase from your
store, we can now create cell phone friendly stores that allow
customers to make purchases directly from their phone. Just think of
the possibilities—a customer sees a promotional text message on their
phone and clicks the embedded link, which then takes them to an order
page. They can immediately enter in their information and make the
purchase right there, no matter where they are or what else they may be
doing. The marketing potential here is incredible!
Mobile commerce is a wholly new field and ShopVisible has been striving
to bring better and more robust features to all of its clients.
