            TOTAL ORDER VOLUME
Retailers are seeing increased order volumes now that the holiday shopping season is in full swing. Order volume is up 14% overall vs. the same dates in 2012, including a whopping 49% last week thanks to Cyber Monday.

Order volume may be up, but average order size is down 5%, likely due to the aggressive discounts retailers are offering this year to compensate for the shorter shopping season.

Overall traffic is down vs. 2012, but shoppers are making the most of the last few weeks to order online for Christmas as order volume, and conversion climb.

THANKSGIVING WEEKEND
Order volume over the Thanksgiving weekend increased 26% vs. 2012 as retailers offered more aggressive discounts online and shoppers got into the mindset that they could shop earlier (even though the web is always open). And while average order value has been slightly down overall, there was a 7% increase over the big shopping weekend online.

PAYMENT METHODS (by Orders)

Credit cards are still the dominant pay method, but that means that almost 25% of transactions are paid for using a different pay method. PayPal dominates the alternate payment space with 14% of orders.
DEVICES (by Traffic)
Tablets have become big business in recent years, and our retailers are seeing, on average, 20% of their traffic coming from mobile devices. Conversion rates, however, are significantly lower on mobile, which illustrates the need for retailers to develop and maintain a shoppable mobile experience.
